Who we are

Kaptein Beacon is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Contact: through the form on the strategy session page. We are based in the Netherlands, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything we do. For visitors and clients in Australia we also handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you use the application form, we collect your name, email address, business name and the details you choose to add: website, phone, service, budget range, timing and your message. Our web server also records technical data such as your IP address for security and abuse prevention.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your application and schedule a strategy session, at your request.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.
  • To meet legal record-keeping obligations if we enter into an agreement.

We do not sell your information and do not use it for direct marketing without your consent.

Where it is stored and for how long

Your information is processed by us and by our hosting and email providers within the European Union, under the protection of the GDPR. That means it is held outside Australia. Applications that do not lead to a project are deleted no later than twelve months after our last contact. Business records are kept as long as the law requires.

Cookies

We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not load third-party services that follow you. If you choose a market, your browser remembers that choice in local storage so we do not keep showing the same suggestion; it never leaves your device. Fonts are served from our own server.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your information, ask us to delete it, or object to its use, through the form on the strategy session page. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
